Copper Rock Golf Course to Host 2025 LPGA Legends Championship

The Southern Utah golf course to hold another Legends of the LPGA Tour and Epson Tour double-feature after thrilling experience in 2024

HURRICANE, Utah (Nov. 14, 2024) – The Legends of the LPGA Tour announced today that the LPGA Legends Championship, formerly known as the LPGA Senior Championship, will return to Copper Rock Golf Course in 2025. The successful playing in Southern Utah in May of 2024 saw Angela Stanford defend her LPGA Legends Championship title, defeating Cristie Kerr by three shots.

The 2025 LPGA Legends Championship will take place May 19-24 with a Pro-Am set to be held early in the week and the tournament’s conclusion set for Saturday, May 24th. The field will be competing for their share of a $400,000 purse, with the winner earning $60,000.

“We are excited to be returning to Cooper Rock for the 2025 LPGA Legends Championship,” said LPGA Legend, Audra Burks. “Last year’s event was one of the best yet and we are all looking forward to next year.”

When the Legends Tour arrives in Utah this upcoming May, it will be the first time they have competed at the same course in consecutive years since 2018 and 2019, when the event was held at the French Lick Resort’s Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Ind. After her win in 2024, Stanford joined Trish Johnson as the only two-time winners of the event. Other notable names who have won the LPGA Legends Championship include Karrie Webb, Laura Davies, and Helen Alfredsson.

In addition to hosting the 2025 LPGA Legends Championship, Copper Rock Golf Course will again showcase the past and future of LPGA stars with the Epson Tour’s Copper Rock Championship. The 2026 edition of the LPGA Legends Championship will move back to the Hoosier State at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Ind. The course opened in 1947 and was designed by Bob Simmons and Gary Kern before entering a redesign in 2019 by Tim Liddy. The LPGA Legends Championship is set to be the first professional tournament the facility will host in its 77-year history.
