Hollis Stacy next up on Throwback Thursdays

Catch up with World Golf Hall of Famer Hollis Stacy, a 3-time U.S. Girls Junior National Champion and a 3-time U.S. Women’s Open Champion, this Thursday July 9 at 4pm ET on Legends Facebook LIVE with host Jane Geddes.

Stacy burst onto the scene as an amateur in 1969 when she won her first USGA title, the U.S. Junior Girls Championship. She did it again in 1970. In 1971, she faced a budding star from Los Angeles named Amy Alcott. The two future World Golf Hall of Fame members played brilliantly, and Alcott made birdie on No. 18 to push it to a playoff. But Stacy again rose to the challenge, holing a 15-foot birdie putt to become the only player to win three consecutive U.S. Junior Girls titles. It’s a record that still stands. By 1983, Stacy had established herself as one of the top players on the LPGA. Hear from Hollis as she recalls those great memories and many more in a LIVE conversation with Jane on Facebook.

Here’s a great warm-up from Golfweek to get things started and remind you of Stacy’s fantastic career – a quick conversation with Hollis!

Throwback Thursday interviews hosted by Jane Geddes feature a brief check-in with the Legends guest and pose a “Back 9” of burning questions that inspire responses you may have never heard before… and likely never will again! Watch as Jane takes over The Legends Tour Facebook page LIVE and manages to connect in a split screen format with one of your favorite LPGA Legends every Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm ET.
