Member of three Golf Halls of Fame. Member of the 1996 U.S. Solheim Cup Team. Served as Captain of the 2003 United States PING Junior Solheim Cup Team. Ranked in the top 15 in the world 7 of 20 seasons while on the LPGA Tour. Served as a Golf Analyst for CBS Sports and the Golf Channel for 13 years. Established the Val Skinner Foundation in 1999 and founded LIFE (LPGA Pros In the Fight to Eradicate breast cancer) in 2000. The Val Skinner Foundation in partnership with Discovery Education, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey LIFE Center and Rutgers School of Public Health funded and launched Decoding Cancer nationwide January 2016. Decoding Cancer is a digital educational platform on breast cancer genetics, through Discovery Educations network of schools, including Title 1 schools; the program will have access to 38 million students and 3.5 million educators. Decoding Cancer is also available in Public Libraries and on all tablets.
